Camp Sunshine: Disneyland without all the make believe.
This spring/summer I've had the opportunity to work with families facing a terminal illness both in the hospital and at camp sunshine. Camp sunshine is a place where parents get to spend time alone, sometimes for the first time since their child's diagnosis. It is a place where siblings get attention that they sometimes haven't gotten in a year. It is a place where children with terminal illnesses lose the title and are just children. Camp Sunshine provides families throughout the country with a way of a safe haven for a fun retreat for the entire family. The Camp is free of charge for all families. The cost of sending one family to camp is $1500 which is the amount I hope to raise. Please support me and camp sunshine!
